I have a Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of California at Santa Barbara (UCSB). My academic areas of specialization are ethics and political philosophy. My academic areas of competency include history of philosophy, logic, and philosophy of science. I have taught a broad range of courses at the university level, ranging from introductory courses to courses in feminist philosophy and existentialism, including courses in political philosophy, history of philosophy, logic, philosophy of science, philosophy of religion, and metaphysics.

In the computer field, I have extensive programming experience spanning decades (in C, C++, VB6, PHP, and Assembly). I have designed and managed enterprise-level applications, including the Student Financial Clearance application at Walla Walla College, and I was the founder of Conclusive Systems LLC., which created the cutting-edge Advisor academic degree audit system. I have extensive networking experience, and I am particularly familiar with the LAMP server platform and all of the Windows client environments. I am qualified to act as an individual developer or as a project manager overseeing a team effort.

I also have significant Oracle and PeopleSoft experience. I am very comfortable with Oracle 10g, and I have set up and maintained Clusterware and RAC databases. I have extensive experience with the design and maintenance of multi-application PeopleSoft systems (tools 8.49 and 9.0 applications), and I can create robust and redundant PeopleSoft systems from bare metal in a matter of days. I am more "technical" than "functional" as a PeopleSoft consultant, but I am far from ignorant about "functional" considerations, particularly regarding inter-app integrations.
