It should be mentioned that Pete and Tom moved over to Cosmos for two good reasons. First, this was a route reputed to have horrible anchors that needed replacing, and the guys certainly did have lots of anchor-replacement gear originally intended for Wings of Steel. Second, Cosmos was a route Pete hadn't climbed that happened to be very nearby the huge stash of gear that had been intended for the Wings of Steel second ascent. So, it was a natural choice for Pete and Tom to move their efforts to Cosmos after deciding to not do the SA of Wings of Steel.
